FILIPPINE 2/7/2007 15.27 MISSIONARIO RAPITO: STABILITI CONTATTI, SECONDO ESERCITO “Contatti sono stati stabiliti con il sacerdote italiano rapito Giancarlo Bossi” ha riferito oggi il generale delle forze armate filippine Hermogenes Esperon Jr., senza precisare l’identità di chi sarebbe riuscito a parlare con il missionario del Pontificio Istituto Missioni Estere (Pime) né in che modo sarebbero avvenuti i contatti: lo riporta il quotidiano di Manila ‘Philippine Daily Inquirer’, precisando che per Esperon i militari hanno la prova che padre Bossi è vivo. “Abbiamo indicazioni che è in vita ma non vogliamo discutere i dettagli” ha detto ancora il generale, secondo cui il religioso “sta bene”. Riportando la notizia sul loro blog, aperto proprio per seguire la vicenda del confratello rapito il 10 giugno, i missionari del Pime nelle Filippine scrivono: “Finora la casa regionale del Pime a Zamboanga non ha ricevuto una sola ‘prova di vita’ di padre Giancarlo Bossi”.

said the general of the Philippine armed forces Hermogenes Esperon
Jr., without specifying the identity, or the method used to achieve
this contact with the person that is said to have spoken with the
missionary of the Pontifical Foreign Mission Institute (PIME). The
Manila daily ‘Philippine Daily Inquirer’ wrote that Esperon said
that the army has proof that father Bossi is alive, even as it does
not want to reveal details”. The general then noted that “father
Bossi is OK”. Reporting the news on their blog, which was set up to
follow the events of their fellow brother, kidnapped on June 10, the
PIME missionaries in the Philippines have written: “so far the PIME
regional house in Zamboanga has not received a single proof that
Father Giancarlo Bossi is still alive”. [AB] |
